This is a series of landscapes inspired by the orchard surrounding my home. I’m privileged to see this family of trees on a regular basis. Part of the inspiration came from a visit to the Renoir exhibition at the Phila Museum and an overwhelming need to experiment with another idea. They are mostly acrylic and pastel. They are highly stylized and though they have a abstract bend to them, there are hints of depth, shape and color that are reminiscent of realism.
